Recliner Chairs

 A recliner chair or a chaise is a basic armchair or sofa which reclines and then raises and lowers the back of the occupant as the occupant raises and lowers the seat back. It has a seatback that can tilt back, and sometimes a footstool that can be permanently extended by simply pulling back on the armrest, or can simply raise automatically when the back gets reclined. The seatback and footstool on recliners are typically covered with a thick leather or fabric. Most recliners have arms that swing out forward, providing the armrest with additional support.

Recliner chairs were originally used in theaters and other places where seating could be cramped. Many of these chairs have a raised seat back, which allows for more comfort for the person who reclines. Some of these chairs, such as the classic leather upholstery recliners, have a large, swivel back and headrest, allowing for maximum comfort. Recliner chairs usually come in two different styles, either with one or both the arms extended, or with one or both of the arms extended, but not the rest of the way down the seat.

Some of these chairs also come with adjustable armrests. These adjustable armrests allow the user to raise and lower the arms as the user turns his or her body. Adjustable armrests also allow for the arms to rest against the body, allowing for maximum comfort. Another great feature of many recliners is that they come with footstools. The footstool is used for seating and can either raise and lower itself to give the user easy access to the floor, or it can extend automatically to provide support for the entire body.
